After Graduating from Montserrat College of Art in 2015 with the Graduation Award in Illustration, Maura O'Connor relocated from her origins in the Hudson Valley region of NY to the North Shore of MA to pursue her art career. Since then she has has the opportunity to work on various illustration projects, most notably with The Musical Company (NYC) and The Boston Globe (MA). In 2018 her first children's book, "Nonna What is St. Peter's Fiesta", written by Laura Ventimiglia, published by Buttieri Press, was published to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the St. Peter's Fiesta in Gloucester MA.

Working with Watercolor and Ink (though, she really does like to experiment with everything), Maura enjoys the challenge of focusing on color, light, and natural elements in her painting. Her work is strongly influenced by folk music, mythology, a childhood of pulling weeds in her fathers vegetable garden and summers spent picking tomatoes on her brothers farm in Hamilton, New York.

She currently lives in Beverly, Massachusetts with her loving fiance Kyle, and in her spare time enjoys playing bad covers of songs on her Mandolin while sampling Irish Whisky.
